#player1 Evan_Bialo Evan Bialo
#player2 Caleb_Pittman Caleb Pittman
>Evan_Bialo: PASSING -PASS +0 0
#note I'd just beaten Evan by 280, and now I had to beat him again to win the tournament.
Evan exchanged 4 right away.
>Caleb_Pittman: BIIOPRS 8H OBI +10 10
#note Nothing great here
>Evan_Bialo: DNW J7 W.ND +12 12
>Caleb_Pittman: IPRRSTY 11H PRY +20 30
#note Top equity, sims best
>Evan_Bialo: ENRSU K4 RUNES +21 33
#note Just (P)RUNE here is better
>Caleb_Pittman: CEHIRST H11 .ITCH +39 69
#note Aaaaah. I saw ITCHERS on my rack, figured it wasn't good, so I didn't play it. CITHERS and RICHEST are also 7s on this rack. (P)ITCH actually isn't that much worse on equity.
>Evan_Bialo: DENP 3K PEND +22 55
>Caleb_Pittman: CEENRST 7B CENTRES +63 132
#note 14H (C)RESCENT is better, surely. I only saw the CENTERS and CENTRES 7s, definitely not TENRECS. (C)RESCENT would have helped me out on the next turn..
>Evan_Bialo: AEEHRST 15H .EATHERS +104 159
#note Ouch. Love the movie, love the musical, didn't know this was a word. He originally scored it as 86. I corrected him to 104 before challenging. It was good.
>Caleb_Pittman: FINRTWX - +0 132
#note Challenge
>Evan_Bialo: IJM O12 JIM. +21 180
>Evan_Bialo: IJM -- -21 159
#note Challenged off immediately. I've messed this up on Aerolith enough to know JISM is the only word here
>Caleb_Pittman: FINRTWX E4 FIX. +28 160
#note TWIX(T) better
>Evan_Bialo: AIJ D2 AJI +30 189
>Caleb_Pittman: GNOQRTW 9D GROWN +16 176
#note There is a standout play for 68- 2B TR(A)NQ. I always have trouble with that word. GROWN is much worse, obviously. Got lucky on the next draw.
>Evan_Bialo: BE 14J BE +22 211
>Caleb_Pittman: AELOQTU N10 QUOTE. +70 246
#note Surprisingly not best- Quackle likes N9 EQUATO(R) more.
>Evan_Bialo: EGM 4I GE.M +22 233
#note I accidentally underscored him by 10. Whoops
>Caleb_Pittman: AAAAELO -AAAALO +0 246
#note I just had to laugh when I drew AAAEO out of the bag. I kept the E.
>Evan_Bialo: A 6D A. +11 244
#note Fishy. I came to learn that he had both blanks on his rack here.
>Caleb_Pittman: EEFKMOV 10E EKE +40 286
#note Not a bad play. Is it the best? Maybe. It scores the most
>Evan_Bialo: ??ALORT B2 TROpi.AL +66 310
#note So many bingoes here. Luckily he didn't see a better one. It's anybody's game here, with his time down to about 90 seconds.
>Caleb_Pittman: AFMOOVY A8 FAV +44 330
#note Best.
>Evan_Bialo: AGLO 2L GOAL +24 334
#note GAOL is a fun word
>Caleb_Pittman: EMO 11D EMO +27 357
#note This is clearly the best play, when you ignore the ridiculous 3 I formed. This was a total accident, but it got through because he was low on time.
>Evan_Bialo: AILV A1 VIAL +31 365
>Caleb_Pittman: AIOOSUY O9 AI +13 370
#note He had NAZI ready to go down. I definitely should have blocked with the O.
>Evan_Bialo: DZ 2D .DZ +33 398
>Caleb_Pittman: IOOSUUY 12A YOUS +26 396
#note With this draw, I'm basically lost.
>Evan_Bialo: ADILNT 1N DA +20 418
>Caleb_Pittman: IOU 4N OI +9 405
#note No winning here. Just hoping he goes overtime
>Evan_Bialo: IILNT 13K LIN. +11 429
#note He got this down with 7 seconds left
>Caleb_Pittman: U - +0 405
#note I erroneously had it scored 419-405 at this point. I couldn't find an out worth more than 3 (there wasn't one). He had 7 seconds left on his clock. I figured there stood a decent chance of him expecting me to go out, panicking, phonying, and me getting a win. So I held up the U as if I was going to place it down for 3, and then I hit my clock to pass.
>Evan_Bialo: IT 14F TI. +7 436
#note He panicked, but he played out in time.
>Evan_Bialo: (U) +2 438
#note A bit disappointed that I lost the tournament after starting 4-0, but I'm happy with how I played. At least I can say I beat the winner by 280. Congrats to Evan on the win!
This got scored 428-405
