#note Finally found a bingo... aaaaand :)
>Sam_Bowers: OOOOOO -6 +0 212
#note Sam didn't even question it. Apparently this word is spelled WEASELLY, which makes sense considering the spelling of WEASEL. Afterwards, Zach Ansell helped us analyze and assured us that MEASILY wasn't actually a word. We told him it was actually WEASILY, and he assured us that wasn't a word, either. I have 2 valid bingos in the O column (and a handful of 8s from the D in SEXED).

#note The end of this game was quite hectic. I was down to under a minute on my clock, and I wasn't tracking tiles. I counted 10 Es on the board and realized that "(LA)T" may have been a setup for a bingo ending in E, so I blocked it with LINE. Sam is seemingly pretty tilted. He's playing instantly and has 16 minutes on his clock. I don't think he was having a good tournament. As soon as I play "LINE", before I can finish scoring, Sam announced "72 and out" -- I had not drawn tiles yet, and both of us forgot that there was still one tile still in the bag. I turn my rack around to show him AAU, and I say, "I'm pretty sure that's a word, but I'll use my free challenge anyway." We're halfway to the challenge computer when from the next table over, Evan Chester (mid-game) sees what's happened and says, "Hey, I noticed you turned your rack around. You actually can't challenge after you've turned your rack around, because that signals the end of the game." Sam replies, "We didn't know that, but it's 100% a word anyway, so it's all good", and I nod in agreement. We go back to the board to analyze [continued under next move].
>Sam_Bowers: DEINOOT 3B DE.OTION +72 346
#note Then, Zachary Ansell comes over to watch our discussion and offer his analysis. He asks when "DENOTION" was played and says he's pretty sure it's not a word (and also informs us that "mEASILY" and "wEASILY" are not words). We say it was the last play, and he asks why I didn't challenge. I told him I tried to challenge, but I had already turned my rack around, and I didn't know that would forfeit my ability to challenge. He told us (correctly) that he thinks the only 8 with DEINNOOT is NOONTIDE, so make sure to remember that. I told him -- as someone who at the time of this game had only studied the top 100 7s and top 20 8s -- that I definitely wouldn't remember NOONTIDE, but I would definitely remember that turning your rack around signals the end of the game! This entire time, the W is still in the bag, and nobody has noticed. The final score was submitted as 352 - 403. "BI / B(Y)" was overscored by 6 points, and Sam only received 6 points from +AAU instead of 14 from +AAUW
