>Jonathan_Lindh: ADDEMRT 9H DAM +26 98
#note Best.
>Frank_Tangredi: GIJNY E7 J.YING +34 57
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEELRT 11D A.TLERED +68 166
#note Best.
>Frank_Tangredi: EF F8 .EF. +33 90
>Jonathan_Lindh: BEIIUWX 12C BI. +16 182
#note Close. 12A BEWIG for 32 is the play. I saw BIG and WIG, but not BEWIG.
>Frank_Tangredi: BY 13B BY +28 118
>Jonathan_Lindh: EINRUWX H11 .XINE +60 242
#note Best.
>Frank_Tangredi: OPT 12J TOP +15 133
>Jonathan_Lindh: ERRUWWZ 13K REZ +32 274
#note I thought Frank might have been keeping well, so no regrets about this play. Also considered 13G WIZ for 29.
>Frank_Tangredi: AEOTV A11 OVATE +44 177
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADIRUWW I13 DAW +21 295
#note Saw my L14 plays, and went with something saver, especially after Frank's last few plays. Scored as 23.
>Frank_Tangredi: AEV G11 .EVA +34 211
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEIORUW B13 .OW +25 320
#note Looks fine again. Not opening a triple triple.
>Frank_Tangredi: ?EGIIRS B5 GIRlIES +63 274
#note As I said, I am not opening a triple triple.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEIORUU -IOUU +0 320
#note I picked the best exchange. 5B GIAOUR for 14 may be better than my play, but it's decently close.
>Frank_Tangredi: AIT 6J AIT +16 290
>Jonathan_Lindh: ACEFLRR L3 FAR. +14 334
#note Probably too defensive, but with SSS out, playing big defense is a decent option. 14L CALF for 36 (which I didn't see) is the standard option. I'm unlikely to get hit back on the O column given the unseen pool. Did I mention I was getting low on time?
>Frank_Tangredi: EN E5 EN...... +38 328
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEKLMNR M2 REM +24 358
#note Panicking now, but this is somehow best.
>Frank_Tangredi: GOO C3 GOO +11 339
>Jonathan_Lindh: CKLNRUU N3 RUCK +31 389
#note Really panicking now, but I think this is best. Not doing N4 UNCURL for 19, playing 6 and 2 U's with a Q lurking.
>Frank_Tangredi: DINS O1 DINS +32 371
>Jonathan_Lindh: LNOPQSU A8 OP +19 408
#note Well it seems I made an unintentional phony 2 which none of caught in the post-mortem. OL*. I almost never play phony 2's. I'm pretty sure OP/OL*/PI is better than any valid play.
>Frank_Tangredi: ILNSTU O6 INSULT +24 395
#note I was greatly relieved Frank went for the points here and passed up fishing because I did not have him exactly tracked (I was off by a tile or two), I was very low on time, and I had forgotten about the TREM hook by now. O6 INUTILE, G1 LUNIEST, and A3 LIGNITES are the 3 potential bingos for Frank still lurking in the pool. I don't know if I would have picked the right space to block if Frank decided to fish one tile and try for one of these.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ALNOQSU B1 QUA +27 435
#note Best.
>Frank_Tangredi: EI 1B .I +11 406
#note C12 BYE for 11 and 1B QI for 11 are best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: LNOS 5E .NOLS +5 440
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: (E) +2 442
#note Final score recorded as 444-406. I had a flight to catch out of LaGuardia airport, so I informed Cornelia and immediately left after this game. Jackson had already clinched the tournament in Round 13, so the timing was excellent.
