>Chrisopher_Sykes: EEEEEEE -EEE +0 0
>Arie_Sinke: ADEEEOS 8F ODEA +10 10
#note Exchanging wins the sim here, and it's clear. I should keep ADES.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: ENTW 7F WENT +23 23
>Arie_Sinke: DEELRRS F5 RE..RD +16 26
#note I find myself very reluctant to give up points in situations like this - but the rack is generally good and four tiles is apparently too many to burn through. Even something like WORD instead sims a bit better. The sim winner by a clear margin is ERR 9H for 11, which really puts the S in play in a way that is unlikely to get obstructed.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: ?EORTUY 9H TOURnEY +68 91
>Arie_Sinke: AEILQSV O7 QIS +46 72
#note This is fine.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: AENSTX 11F SEXTAN +37 128
>Arie_Sinke: ?AELOPV 5C OVE.LAPs +74 146
#note Weak play. P(R)OVAbLE scores 98. This is pretty bad.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: ABEEL 12I ABELE +22 150
>Arie_Sinke: AABCCNU H1 ABAC. +36 182
#note Weak play. BACCA scores 42. It didn't even enter my mind.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: IZ 2H .IZ +34 184
>Arie_Sinke: CFNOOUU 13M FOU +22 204
#note This play is fine. It's nothing to get excited about but the other options are worse.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: HIT 6J HIT +26 210
>Arie_Sinke: CGMNORU O12 M.NG +30 234
#note GUNROOM C1 for 26 looks comparable to MUNG. It's hard to evaluate between the two. GUNROOM may be very slightly better. GUNROOM creates a few openings that I may not want to create and scores a bit less, but I would far rather keep the lone C than CORU.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: EO K1 OE +17 227
>Arie_Sinke: ACDLORU B1 DUROC +31 265
>Arie_Sinke: ACDLORU -- -31 234
#note I don't know where I got the idea that COVERLAPS was good. I wasn't 100% on it when I played it but thought it was worth a try. It doesn't look like anything that could plausibly be a word.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: KOO L4 KO.O +16 243
>Arie_Sinke: ACDLORU 1K .DOUR +24 258
#note ODOUR is fine. CARLOAD 3C for 31 scores quite a bit more but the time has finally come to part ways with the U.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: DEGIINT 13C DIETING +80 323
>Arie_Sinke: ACFILRT 12A FLIT +29 287
#note Very disappointing miss of TRIFOCAL C1 for 78 here. This game was not played very well by me and I fully earned my loss. This is the sort of situation where I'm at most risk of missing a bingo - I am disappointed to have squandered a turn phoneying, my opponent has just put the game out of reach unless I hit a bingo with a mediocre rack on a rapidly constricting board, and I'm "on tilt".
>Chrisopher_Sykes: AERWY A10 WA.ERY +45 368
>Arie_Sinke: AACHPRS M3 PAH +27 314
#note Apparently SPAE M6 is a really good play here. This sort of situation goes way over my head but my best guess is that the leave after SPAE is more conducive to hitting something at 15H (CHAIRING, etc.) than that of any comparable play.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: EIV D3 VI.E +20 388
>Arie_Sinke: ACMNRSU 14J CURS +18 332
#note I end a generally poorly played game with a perfect endgame. This is my best out in two; it obstructs Christopher's highest scoring sequence and ensures that I can play out next turn for a good score.
>Chrisopher_Sykes: GIIJLNS 1D JING.L +24 412
>Arie_Sinke: AMN 3G M.NA +25 357
#note Best.
>Arie_Sinke: (IS) +4 361
