#note should probably do AURIC or CAURI, which I somehow didnt come up with here. Small error but AURIC seems pretty clear.

#note or EXALT, which is nice for the board to give me some lanes, but AELNT does hit well with the I at F9. The plays are very close in the sim, EX a point ahead.

>Jackson: AACIPRT O12 PACA +42 198
#note considered PACT as well, the T is a better lane to swing longterm, which might be good as a threat, plus the A can be nice for M column plays. that said IRT is a more solid bingo leave, and AIR works especially badly with the F column. PACA wins a sim handily

#note GULL is not so bad here but WALL is standard and solid
>Jackson: ?DHLORS L12 SHOD +32 272
#note interesting position, and really shows the different types of aggression you can play with when you're down with a blank. WHORL/WORLD, SHOD/SOLD L12, HODS 11C, HOD 11C, HOWLS, SH H1. These are all pretty reasonable plays here. A quackle sim likes H1 SH and SHOD/SLOP best, but it's close across the board. I had a feeling that he was a bit more likely than normal to have an S, after many turns had passed and he could have acquired it at any point - for that reason I didnt want to do the typical aggression of WORLD or WHORL, since I get burned too often. SHOD/SLOP was nice because with few Es out the 15 row wasnt a major scoring threat, and LR? works pretty well with the 15 row, but also the D column with Os out. HODS 11c lets him average more with underlaps, which is unideal. HOWLS works pretty well with my leave, the C column and 12 row. SH H1 is really cool because it makes such a good lane on the 1 row and it''s not easy to block. DLOR? is well good enough to hit that lane next turn. In retrospect I think I like HOWLS and SH the most, but SHOD is fine.

>Jackson: ??HLOOR H1 OH +28 324
#note no bingoes here. I didnt want to do HOO 12B cause of the S hook. Didnt want to do LOO particlarly because JOT often keeps a good underlapping tile for JO plays, especially with GGEEETT in the pool, and playing LOO then some dumb 13a play will kill all the bingo potential downstairs. I want to keep marginal bingo lanes open here, with ?? eventually I can hit somewhere. A sim likes sHOO 12a amazingly, burning the blank for 0 points and setting up a good lane to bingo to, or encourage plays too that will reopen. I dont think that works out as well in reality, but I think it's still a really sick play and not even bad, blocking dumb 13a plays as well. Ultimately I am okay with OH as a waiting play, I feel like next turn I can be more practive if need be.
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: EIMOSTU 12D OSTIUM +33 364
#note solid play
>Jackson: ??FGLOR 8A GOLFeR +45 369
#note awaiting macondo calculation for GOLF vs. GOLFER... GOLF is great because any bingo I hit will win, and with a lot of marginal lanes open it's likely. I can also threaten 8a plays with RIF. GOLFER now does require avoiding some bad draws, stuff with VG and VP can result in a loss, but it seems like if I draw enough vowels I will be okay. FWIW champ likes GOLF more...
