>Evan_Chester: BFGKLTY H7 FLY +18 18
#note Worth playing over exchanging
>Michael_Wolfberg: ADEEIMR 8C REMAI.ED +62 62
>Evan_Chester: BGKNORT F6 BR.NG +18 36
#note THIS IS PHONY???? Not even that good of a play here. D7 BEKNOT, D4 BROKE, and F6 BRANK are examples of better plays
>Michael_Wolfberg: CDNORW D3 CROWN.D +26 88
>Evan_Chester: DEKNOTT 3B DO.K +22 58
#note 3B TOCKED is best
>Michael_Wolfberg: AZ B2 A.Z +26 114
>Evan_Chester: BEENSTT J8 .EBT +13 71
#note This play gives my S utility, which the other candidate plays dont. They score better, eg 5A BETON, but idk if that benefits the board much when I'm at a deficit
>Michael_Wolfberg: AOT E8 .OAT +19 133
>Evan_Chester: EGNNOST 2A N.G +7 78
#note Ehhhh. A play like E1 TOKEN is too many points to give up, not that I saw it anyways
>Michael_Wolfberg: AGINNT 1C ANTING +28 161
>Evan_Chester: ?EENOST 2H OuTSEEN +69 147
#note I did see 12E ESTrONE but passed it up to not open a 3x3. I did not learn bONESET or pOSTEEN until after Albany. 12G OuTSEEN is 1 better though, and doesn't give back a hotspot like my play does.
>Michael_Wolfberg: DEU 1M DUE +17 178
>Evan_Chester: AEILSWY K10 YAW +29 176
#note K9 WYE is 5 more but apparently EILS is 4 more than AILS, plus YAW sets up YAWL/YAWS while WYE takes out DEBTS, I like the more offensive position here
>Michael_Wolfberg: CEET L9 CETE +33 211
>Evan_Chester: EHIILRS 3L HEIL +30 206
#note Definitely like this over 3I HI
>Michael_Wolfberg: AM E5 MA +24 235
>Evan_Chester: AIIPRRS 3I PI +15 221
#note Top option is 13I RIP which I didn't see, and I think I agree with even though it makes bingos harder
>Michael_Wolfberg: LOX 4H LOX +25 260
>Evan_Chester: AEHIRRS 12C RASHIER +79 300
#note Did I see HARRIES on my rack? Yes. Did I convince myself that RASHIER* was more likely to be a word than HARRIES? Also yes. The only reason Michael didn't challenge this is because he saw HARRIES was available and played, so he assumed this was good because why would I play a phony anagram instead. Bold of Michael to assume I'm good at Scrabble, but I appreciate it.
>Michael_Wolfberg: ITU H12 .TUI +12 272
#note Unfortunate the valid T hook on RASHIER was never used
>Evan_Chester: EFIIPSU 14F PF.I +15 315
#note Not the worst option. My mind generally pivots towards bingo defense in a position like this. Even though the pool is garbage the blank and Q could pair well with the U in ETUI. Better options exist tho. The sim winner is C6 SIRUP which is a crazy fit
>Michael_Wolfberg: AIJO 15C JIAO +16 288
>Evan_Chester: AEEIQSU C11 E. +2 317
#note The idea behind this play is to not empty the bag while also setting up 13A QUAI, which is much more than I's getting with the Q on this board in it's current position, and it's really inefficient for him to block with that unseen pool. I'm also keeping the Q's besties alongside it so if Michael makes a play that opens more space, I'll have options for the Q. Allegedly this doesn't win 100% though, while other options do. I don't feel like figuring out these other lines tho. ER is 83%
>Michael_Wolfberg: ?ORUV O3 .OUVeR +27 315
>Evan_Chester: AEILQSU 13A QUAI +34 351
#note Best
>Michael_Wolfberg: OSV 11A VO. +6 321
#note -4 to 13J OS
>Evan_Chester: ELS 13L SEL +13 364
#note -7 to 13J ELS. Again unsure if there is a solid lesson here. I only had 2 turns where I played my best move (FLY and QUAI), but not too many massive mistakes (aside from the phonies). Maybe the theme of this one is to learn words idk
>Evan_Chester: (S) +2 366
