>Evan_Chester: ?AELORW H8 ALlOWER +76 76
#note What a fun start to this game. I have been waiting to play an opening bingo in an aggressive position like this for a while now and I was happy to finally start out a game this way. One problem though, ALlOWER* isn't a word! This would have been an insane play if I knew I was setting a trap for Gideon but nope, I genuinely thought this was good, and it didn't get held so he did too. The real bingo on this rack is ROWAbLE, which I didn't know. Gideon actually ended up playing ROWABLE in a later game too! Fun full circle moment to one of the funniest opening plays I've made.
>Gideon_Brosowsky: BFNOSST 15D FONTS +66 66
#note Thanks to Gideon for sharing his full racks! The gambit did not work out in my favor. This is a whopping 43 points higher than his next best option, and even if he knew ALlOWER wasn't a word, I wonder if there is still merit to accepting it if you think your opponent doesn't know it's a phony. Lots of interesting psychology to consider with a position like this.
>Evan_Chester: ?IMNUUX 10H .UX +25 101
#note Best. Cool option that burns the blank in 13H EXUvIUM
>Gideon_Brosowsky: AABDGIS G11 DAB +24 90
>Evan_Chester: ?DIMNOU F6 DOMINUs +74 175
#note DOMINUS is both a Geometry Dash Creator and a Bloons Tower Defense 6 Paragon, it is not a word. This would be the best play if it was a word though! The real 7 on this rack is IMpOUND which plays for 66 at I2 or G2, and a few bingos also play through the A in ALlOWER*. This phony bingo was also not held.
>Gideon_Brosowsky: AAGIIST 14B GAIT +17 107
#note Dope disconnected 8 of 8A ASTIGMIA available here.
>Evan_Chester: AEHHKOR E10 OK +32 207
#note K8 OKEH is probably a bit better but my play is not far off
>Gideon_Brosowsky: AAIPRSU 13A RAP +21 128
>Evan_Chester: AEEHHRT E4 HEATH +34 241
#note Surely Heather is just a name right? Wrong, I left 112 points on the table. Bignoing with real words is overrated anyways. My play is an acceptable non-HEATHER play
>Gideon_Brosowsky: AIISSSU D2 AIS +16 144
>Evan_Chester: EEEILRT 1A LEER +20 261
#note Gideon's play tells me he's close to bingoing so blocking the 1 row, which could easily have been a setup, has merit. Playing a word like the best option of 1D RETILE is much better though, since it also blocks I column bingos.
>Gideon_Brosowsky: INOSSTU I2 OUTSINS +61 205
#note RETILE would have left Gideon without a bingo
>Evan_Chester: AEFILTZ K9 FEZ +40 301
#note K9 FEZ and A8 LAZIER sim neck and neck, but with 7 Es unseen, I found the K column more dangerous than the A column. I think FEZ vs LAZIER is mostly a style difference and I'd rather be a bit more defensive with this sort of lead.
>Gideon_Brosowsky: AEQRRVV 3H Q.AVER +36 241
>Evan_Chester: AEIILTT 4G TI.I +19 320
#note Best
>Gideon_Brosowsky: ANORRTV L1 OV.RRANT +76 317
>Gideon_Brosowsky: ANORRTV -- -76 241
#note Insta challenge. OVERRAN's only back hook is the K
>Evan_Chester: ADEGIIL A8 GLIDE. +27 347
#note Close, A7 GLADIER is just this play but better. GLIDER/GILDER sim right behind it tho
>Gideon_Brosowsky: ANORRTV L1 OV.RT +18 259
#note Sweet extension of 13G BEVATRON is best here
>Evan_Chester: AGILUYY L11 AGLY +27 374
#note I saw QUAVERY but wasn't sure it was good (It is). There are also some great C column plays like GAYLY and GAILY (didn't know). My play is uninspiring.
>Gideon_Brosowsky: AEJMNNR 1K J.RAM +42 301
>Evan_Chester: CEEIIUY 2N YE +24 398
#note I think this is better than most short plays that maximize equity, but N1 AIYEE is clearly best, again missing QUAVERY
>Gideon_Brosowsky: CENNOPW M9 CEP +24 325
>Evan_Chester: BCEEIIU 13J BI.E +12 410
#note My play sims 5th. The best is the stylish 14H RIBEYE through disconnected tiles, saving 4A CUISH (didn't know), which is the 2nd best simming play here
>Gideon_Brosowsky: ENNNOOW B7 NOON +15 340
>Evan_Chester: CDEIU C5 CUED +16 426
#note 3H QUAVERED is 9 points better than my play, B1 EDUCE is 3 points better due to blocking C2 WANE
>Gideon_Brosowsky: ENW 2C W.NE +14 354
#note Honestly a pretty decent game for me if we ignore the phony bingos and balking on HEATHER and QUAVERY. Not many large mistakes. My lesson from this game is to play valid bingos, or don't, it makes better content that way.
