#note I realized after I played this that OPEN scored more above FEM. Another rushed endgame, but this time with the tournament clinched it was a reasonable approach. FWIW, Championship player says F14 PI is one point better than OPEN at 1A.

#note I drew well in this tourney (7 of 10 blanks) but I think I generally played well too, in large part by avoiding any major blunders. My end games were terrible but I only cared about gaining rating, not where I placed, and I think there's a lot to be said for conserving brainpower. That said, I should probably start trying harder in endgames so I'm better practiced for when they count, but I've been saying that for years and still haven't done so.
